Auto component manufacturer Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd, commonly known as Sona Comstar, has denied recent media reports claiming it supplies electric vehicle (EV) parts to Chinese automaker BYD.
Sona Comstar made the statement after several reports suggested it was among the Indian auto parts makers providing components for BYD’s EVs.
BYD Times contacted Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd and asked about this news surfacing on the internet. In a stock exchange filing, the company clarified that it does not supply any components, directly or indirectly, to BYD in India or any other global market.
The company said it remains committed to transparent communication with stakeholders and will continue to share relevant updates as per regulatory requirements.
